Project Brief
ASchool Project – The small format magazine ad was derived from a design project showcasing common image editing techniques. The hotel is based in Leshan, China and the design reflects the imagery of the Sichuan region. A lotus flower is used as the inspiration for the logo and is repeated as a translucent line drawing. Lotus root is part of the breakfast displayed on the plate. Key promotional strengths of the hotel are displayed at the top of the advert. An additional background of darker letters has been added to improve the readability of the short text. Lastly a custom Chinese font was used to set the Leshan name using simplified Chinese characters.
