Project Brief
School Project – The magazine spread was derived from an existing plain text article. The design goal called for alignment with the essence and meaning of the short story. The theme of other inhabited planets invokes a clear science fiction vibe, and the layout was designed to convey the strong emotions of a science fiction reader. The use of a futuristic fonts for the headings and subheadings anchors the reader in the world of space travel along with the illustration of the rocket covering the gutter. Pull quotes are used to entice the reader into the full copy while the visuals help define the theme of the article. The three-column layout enhances readability and aligns with industry standards.
